Montevideo, the 27^th of November, 2009  

Living in Montevideo  stipulates that the renter will receive a clean, furnished apartment in good working order and in accordance with the description of location and services provided on the Living in Montevideo website.  It is our policy to inspect all rental units personally and to meet all guests upon their arrival, provide contact phone numbers, and to be available for questions during the guest's stay in Uruguay.  We also meet all of our guests upon check out.

Living in Montevideo:  will re-confirm all availability and terms prior to making a firm reservation with the guest.  At that time, the booking deposit, rental price for the period reserved, and the security/damage deposit will be agreed to with the guest, and locked-in, protecting the guest against any possible price increases that may occur after a reservation is made and a non-refundable booking deposit is received. 

To lock-in a reservation, a non refundable booking deposit (seña) must be received within 48 hours of making a confirmed reservation.  SEND ALL BOOKING DEPOSITS VIA WESTERN UNION.  This is the quickest and most secure method to send moderate sums of U.S. Dollars''' (typically $300-500) depending on the unit and the length of stay.  The booking deposit is non refundable, and is primarily meant to protect the property owners against frivolous rentals or "no-shows".

Upon the guest's arrival, the booking deposit will be deducted from the remaining balance of the full rental price, which is to be paid IN CASH upon check-in.  In addition to the rental price, the guest will be expected to leave a security/damage deposit IN CASH in the amount agreed to at the time of booking.

The renter leaves as a security deposit against damages as a security guarantee as to its correct use and maintenance.  In the event of losses from or breakages to the rental unit, the renter will be responsible for paying to replace or repair such damages at the time of check out and the return of the keys.  In the event there no such losses or damages, the Damage Deposit will be returned to the renter upon check out and return of the keys.
